I’m Ginormously Excited. (I can actually say that now)

Merriam-Webster just recently listed some of its new 100 words to be added to the Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate® Dictionary, 11th edition. Editors keep track of many neologisms (yes, I had to look this up, and I love the second definition of this word is “a meaningless word coined by a psychotic “) and then decide upon the number of citations a word has whether to be added or not to the dictionary.

A small sample of the list can be found here. Until the whole list is published though I’m going to go listen to some “crunk” while I lay a “smackdown” on “ginormous” “suduko” game and watch my favourite “telenovela” and eat a little “agnolotti“.
