I created a dinner group for Depts of 1 last night which turned out to be quite a wonderful experience. I was able to meet and connect with 9 new individuals that I may not have met any other way. There was quite a wide variety of experience and knowledge at the table. Some were tackling the teaching of large groups, some smaller groups. Everyone was using different tools and lms’s so it was really a great opportunity to hear what the pros and cons of so many different items in one setting.
Dinner was quite fun and jovial at Wolfgang Pucks although it took us several tries wandering around the restaurant to find where we were to be seated. However, we joked about turning it into a simulation…..”Wrong, Try Again.”
I highly recommend attending one of the dinner events or creating one of your own, posting it up and creating a new mini network. A big thanks to my new collection of colleagues.
